Really great app. Such a help.
Really great app. Such a help.
UPDATE: The new 3-books-per-month plan will please no one. The app is ok, a bit slow and sometimes crashes. The books available are not so good: a smattering of books by well-known authors, some B- but mostly C-list books. In some sense this is the cable TV of books: youre paying for a large selection of books most of which are not very good. Classics? No. Bestsellers? No. Prize winners? No. Useful reference books? No.
I was able to get all Taylor Swift songbooks guitar recorded versions
Scribd helps students find millions of different documents and books that are important for your studies. All those data are shared by people from all over the world, and you can easily curate and organize them according to their topic.
Amazon who?
I can read books (some of which are very good and hard to find) without having to buy them. This is great! I love it!
I got to the point where it said "Start your free month.", and I deleted the app. Im not going to register or pay for this garbage.
I have tried most library style apps and this one has the most content for the lowest price.
$8.99 only gets you 3 books a month. Many of the books are either years out of print or just garbage. The app also has really buggy interface. I would pass on this.
SCREWD by SCRIBD! I just happen to notice on my bank account that I was being charged nine dollars a month without my realizing that I had subscribed. Unsubscribing has been a very frustrating experience. I have found two different instructions describing how I should unsubscribe to SCRIBD and I have found neither one possible to achieve. Ive wasted way too much time just trying to stop this DECEPTIVE service. Maybe if they would change the name of their business from SCRIBD to SCREWD—people would not be so disappointed with their unethical practices. Also, their "chat" help services is nothing but a big façade. I never received any response.
This is definitely worth the $8.99 per month. There were only a few books that I couldnt find on here (The Cather in the Rye specifically). This app also has a 30 day free trial to see if its right for you. The only downfall is you can only get 3 books per month.
Ive only had the Scribd app and subscription for a few days, but I think its magnificent so far, in regards to both selection and value. I know they just reduced the number of books per month to three, but thats just three bucks per book. And you can get extensive previews of unlimited books I think, not to mention a decent selection of unlimited free ones. So far,so good.
Great selection! Lots of books that I have wanted to read, but couldnt find, other than buying individually.
