Scribd - audiobooks & ebooks App Reviews

Im using this app for fitness and other magazines and I am really happy. Only bummer is that I am working and living in an environment, where I dont have 24/7 access to the Internet. I wish there was a way of storing the magazines on ur device for longer.

I love the selection of books. However recently it has started to lose my place if I go to another app, has lost my bookmarks a couple of times and I couldnt access my downloaded books on a recent trip, even on wifi. Shouldnt books "on my device" be accessible anywhere anytime?

My wife and I are both loving Scribd.. She gets all the mysteries she can read and I always find something enjoyable in history, biographies and others. First Rate !

Before last changes in their rules you could read as many as books you wanted. But now they have limited it to just 3 books per month,cand I prefer to cancel my registeration. Why everything is just getting worse these days?

This app was great when it was unlimited book, now that they have switched it to only 3 books with a terrible small unlimited selection a month it is a complete rip off. I will be cancelling my membership and deleting the app and purchasing future books from Amazon.

A book download cant be paused, has to be started all over again. Ive been trying to read a pdf for hours. Also it is extremely unstable

Better than Audible because it costs less for way more reading/listening.

I subscribed for the advertised unlimited access to all books. Recently they changed the terms and conditions to limit access to 3 (three!) books a month. Just browse three books and then youre out of luck. You gotta wait until next month to have full access to 3 other books. Imagine Netflix doing this, allowing to see three movies a month, for the same fee. If thats not corporate greed, again, I dont know what it is. Outrageous and shameful Scribd!!!

The app is absolutely great, but since i made the update it crashes everytime i want to read a Book. Please fix the Problem

I cant give this a star rating anymore, since you guys changed the unlimited amount of books people read to 3. I read more then that in a day let alone a month. So this app is now a -10. Bring back the unlimited amount, got rid of the 3 books a month.

When I first began my subscription I was elated to find a "Netflix but for books". A great selection of unlimited e-books and audiobooks. They have now changed the rules to 3 "free" e-books a month and an extremely limited list of free audiobooks. Ive now cancelled my subscription.

Amazing app, a lot of good books are free and it is especially helpful if you would like to learn something, such as a language, with the help of books and PDFs. Not going to delete this one!

Was a awesome app then came the 3 books a month Im not too happy with this it was far better before unlimited. They didnt have the very latest books I tried to get but I was ok with that until this month when you were told 3 books only. Scribd sure wish you would re think this, many times I get a book them get into it and realize Im nit interested so after 1 chapter I am down 1 book. Please bring back unlimited !

From unlimited books to 3 books per month??? Theyre lucky to be getting 1 star!! Cancelled my membership. Back to iBook. Way to drive your customers away.

This app was great until you changed it from unlimited to 3 books a month. An a pathetic selection of free books. I have cancelled my membership and so have a lot of people I know. Way to go guys. You are gonna lose a lot of customers.

I can stay the whole day browsing and reading through pages without getting tired or bored. Love it.

While there is nothing wrong with the app itself, I was trying to read an article in safari and it would not let me continue to read without downloading the app and I find that pressuring people into downloading apps is very annoying.

So much for Netflix of books. You wont retain the subscriber base to get great licensing deals with this drastic change for the worse. Could have at least made it something like 25 or even 15, would have gritted my teeth but kept my subscription. Three books is hardly worth the difference over goodreads who also offers 1 audiobook per month at $15.
