App Interface is Fine - Content Not So Much

Im pretty disappointed with this app overall. I did the 1 month free subscription and have felt a bit hoodwinked. Several times I have found a book I want to read only to find out after selecting it that it isnt in English, nor is there one available in English. I am grateful for the free trial as it provides me the opportunity to delete the app and cancel my subscription before being charged.

Great technical reference resource at a reasonable price.

Glad to have purchased this app. Its paid for itself again and again.

Lots of Selection

So far I love this app. Mostly for its technical content. Cant wait to try the audio books and ebooks!

Love it for Audiobooks.

This is a great alternative to the other audiobook companies.

Very useful platform

I am able to use this for both work and pleasure. Nice selection.

Scribd, great app!

I really like this app, plan to keep it around for a long time.

Great app

It would be awesome if there was a way to incorporate a voice reader for books that dont have an audio option.

Great App

LOVE their book selection and cant beat the price! Win Win!

My fave app for books

Best source for all kinds of books! I love Scribd

Early Stages

Enjoying my access to the many books, mags and even unexpected surprises (enjoying the books with sheet music immensely!) all in one singular app! A "One-Stop" readers paradise--quite literally. Also enjoying the savings of not having to subscribe to each of the different magazines plus the cost of each book. My only quibble is not finding the more obscure magazine publications--which have well written, insightful articles but, because theyre not "mainstream" they have to be sought and dug-up (which can be time-consuming). Hopefully, this will improve as this app develops from its early stages. All in all, a great app well worth having.

I audiobook credit a month??

You have to be kidding me! I did the free trial and every audiobook I pick out is not available to me until the free trial is over. Only 3 books it appears to be available to me. *nowhere could I find a customer service number, chat line, or email. *you get ONLY 1 audiobook per month and 3 regular books per month. That is outrageous and who knows if your credits roll over to the next month! *they dont categorize by abridged or unabridged nor do they list the the narrators name. Ive used Audible for several years. I could not be happier especially after seeing this. Plus Audible allows you to return any book you are unhappy with. Plus customer service is easy access and excellent

Doesnt deliver what it promises

Good selection, but whats the use of having "Store Offline" in your device option if it still requires data connection? Terrible feature

You need this app...

If you are an avid book lover, you need this to complete your collection! This app, partnered with Audible and your local librarys digital offering is the complete deal!

Great App

Updated with the latest and reliable

Audiobooks ?

I mainly use this app for the audiobooks, which (for me and my lengthy commute) are WELL worth the subscription. I also want to note that when reading "hard copy" books, the app offers several options/accommodations for font, text size, color of text, and color of background page (which I find very helpful). Thanks Scribd for a great app/concept!

Wonderful app.

I do enjoy mostly Im glad I can able to access and free when I can it awesome.

Sometimes you just want to kick back and let someone else drive

I love the app. I listen on my commute to work. I am an avid reader, but sometimes it is nice just to kick back and let someone else drive for a bit. There is nothing more relaxing then a cool day, a hammock and a great book. I have expanded my reading through the many suggested reads and reading lists. I recommend the app all the time. It doesnt replace my local book store, it is a great addition to it!

Same stuff I can get online from my county library

When Scribds boss told PBSs Charlie Rose stand-in Scribd had "millions" of ... audiobooks, I went right to the App Store and charged my apple account $8.99. When I opened the app it offered me a free one month trial. Then it limited the audiobooks I could check out per month--two was the limit I believe. Then the list of newspapers. NYT, good. Everything else Id rarely heard of. I didnt bother. I went right to an audiobook, though not the one I was hoping for. It was very easy to listen. No fuss like public libraries Overdrive app. Still, $9 a month for limited audiobooks, no thanks. I canceled in a day. If you dont live near a public library system, the tiniest of which now offers books online for free, this may be a godsend.

Love it

Lots of titles available for a reasonable price. I am an avid reader and so have to supplement this with other ways to read, but I still think its great value.

Enjoy using scribd

Enjoy using scribd The related titles are on point. Most of the books I read anyway but still a breath of fresh air to know the app is keeping up with my interest. Also they alert you when using a book credit. They dont have many of the topics Im interested also so theres that
