Fantastic!!

A great tool for studying!

Great app

Very useful app

Upset with the new limit

3 books a month is very hard for me, I love the selection but hate the limit.

Enjoying it!

I love having a book to read anywhere and everywhere I go! I could read all day and this app makes it entirely possible!

I get to read books for free!!!

I mainly use this for learning Japanese. And I found this book called Japanese the manga way for free using this app. So Im basically learning all kinds of Japanese grammar without paying a dime all thanks to scribd.

Blocks content for mobile users in order to force app download.

Bad experience.

Awesome app. Great for avid readers

I love this app!

Great Source for Research/Pleasure

This is a great app that provides access to sources which would be difficult to find elsewhere with such ease and very often new sources (books, papers, audio, magazine reprint articles, etc.) - this is particularly true for me - and beyond helpful - when doing research for a project, paper or blog. It is also a great source for pleasure reading - also regarding books, audio tapes etc., and in this area also items unavailable elsewhere, even for a large price (i.e., Wodehouses Collected Works, including difficult to find Jeeves & other favorites). I cant recall the price - monthly I think, but reasonable especially for the temporary and permanent access it delivers. Highly recommended!

Overall, still very satisfied

I was a user before the change that now only allows 3 books per month. Im also a user whom this affects unfortunately. That being said, its still a great deal and Im quite happy with the services. I have two smallish complaints. One is that the offline mode sometimes saves the page number and sometimes doesnt. Im reading a book right now that doesnt recognize chapters (bad Ebook formatting?) and when scribd loses my place it can be rather annoying. The other minor quibble are the previews. Some previews of books are great and give me a great indication of the book. Others.. Not so much. For example, I just tried to preview a poetry book. After I got through the table of contents and prologue, I was only able to read part of a single poem! I understand that it may not be Scribd per se, but I wish the previews were thought out a little better. Eh. Anyway, thats my general review. Now Ill talk just a bit about my personal reading habits and how it relates to scribd. Dont bother reading unless you want to know if scribd is worth it to you :) I read primarily spiritual books, an occasional poetry book and comics as well as reference books (massaging, languages, drawing etc). I dont read many novels on scribd. This is one reason why the program works out alright for me. I used to read much much more than 3 books a month, but this is forcing me to go through them a bit slower. For something like a novel, perhaps thats annoying. For something like poetry or spiritual books, its usually a good thing! And the gardening/language/other reference books are something that I need to just slowly build up. Once I get my Chinese reader book Ill be set on Chinese for quite a while for example. Comics are the worst because most are just read so quickly! I dont want to spend my precious book tokens on a book Ill easily read in 20-30 minutes! As for the free Scribd selects.. So far Ive always found at least one book. This month theres the 500+ page From Hell comic. So it doesnt take a book and itll last a while! A great gardening one and even a cool novel Im going to read. So overall Id prefer having unlimited books, but my reading habits still work quite well under this model. Heck, maybe even its a bit healthier for me.

Audiobooks & Books

I wish they had the same options to read as they do for audiobooks and that a little more was included in the subscription.

Excellent

Its not like other apps where all services shut down for guests and various books are also available

DO NOT Download!!

We tried the Scribd application and was going to give it the trial period. It was unimpressive as you could not highlight anything like you can in a traditional PDF reader. Upon removing it during the trial time we STILL got charged the monthly membership fees. We had to challenge the charges through Apple to get them removed. Dont waste your time on this application. It will only lead to aggregation.

Awesome

This app is so easy and convenient to use. Get it. If you like to read a lot.

Change of service

I really, really liked the old service. I am sure I cost them money since I read a lot. I tried the service with new conditions. I went through my four books in a week and kept wondering if I could buy my four books for around the same costs. Im am willing to pay more for the old service or for more books.

New favorite

Worth the money just for the audiobook each month many of my favorite authors are available but most importantly the customer service is great thank you Zoe❣
