Scribd - audiobooks & ebooks App Reviews

This is a pricey app that is difficult to cancel. Its fine for reading but really, Ive got better less expensive apps that dont require me to battle customer service on the regular. Good Reader is my favorite reading app because it allows me to mark up the pages like they were paper. Its a one time fee. Its just up to me to locate the PDFs to upload there. Finding PDFs isnt that hard. But if you like paying $100/yr for an ok app, by all means, get yourself some Scribd.

Great way to read, especially when travelling.

Im traveling a lot so this app allows me to read various books w/o increasing my luggage size. Ive discover new titles every month

I wish you got more books per month. And I wish you could trade audiobooks for more regular books. But I enjoy the free monthly reads, it allows me to explore new authors. Ive read so many books its fantastic

Great!! They gave me a free premium subscription to 3 of my favorite apps... I really am loving this app.

Im thoroughly disappointed that there is a limit to how many books we can read per month...WITH A MEMBERSHIP!!! Please bring back the unlimited books available with a membership. Its very hard to research things in the books with limited access. Please reconsider this situation.

The credit system theyve adapted has forced me stop using the service. Its crap. Ive would paid upwards of $20/month for the unlimited subscription model. By the way, they keep deleting my reviews because they know Im speaking facts.

I have used scribd for some time now and gave constantly had books with pages missing or showing up blank. This went on for several months and I contacted customer service multiple times with no assistance so after paying for several months of subscriptions with this happening I canceled and reached out one final time to customer service. All I was told was sorry and we hoped you enjoyed your subscription. I would have expected them to offer me some kind of something for this going on but nothing was done. As a business owner myself I cant imagine a company thriving with this type of service. Im an avid reader but Im incredibly disappointed in their service. I would not recommend them to anyone unless they get their customer service up to par.

After the update last Nov 16, 2014, I must admit I panicked a bit (ok, a lot) because the app refused to open. But after I got in touch with Scribd support, they told me to just delete the app and re-install it. It worked! The best part of the update is the audio books!! I love Scribd so much. I get to read and read as much as I want for less than the price of ONE book. As you can imagine, Im always glued to the app. Now with the audio books, I can move around while listening to the books. Its just great! Of course, with all these books waiting to be read and listened to, I hardly get any sleep these days... but thats another story.

Been using Scribd for several years now and I find invaluable, especially for its wealth out of print selections that are now audio books. I listen to Scribd daily while on the way to work. Great app!

They wouldnt let me cancel the membership through the online website. The customer service is non existent , BEWARE DO NOT SIGN UP

After a certain amount of reading it will not allow you to read another book within the time frame so be weary of that

Scribd brings reading material within reach.
